Find a Notar

Find a certified notary in Germany.

A Notar (notary public) is required to certify your company's articles of association for UG and GmbH formation. Unlike in many countries, German notaries are independent public officials — not private lawyers.

A Musterprotokoll is a standardized one-page formation document provided by law — it replaces custom articles of association drafted by a lawyer. Faster and cheaper at the notary, but only possible with up to 3 shareholders, exactly 1 managing director and no custom clauses (e.g. vesting, drag-along).

  • · Statutory fees under GNotKG — set by law, identical at every notary, paid directly to the Notar and Amtsgericht.
  • · Estimate for orientation only; the exact Geschäftswert calculation can differ with bespoke articles, real estate or extra certifications.
  • · Share capital itself is not a fee — it stays in your company account.

We coordinate the notary appointment for you — deed review included.

LanguageMost notaries work in German. If you need the deed read in another language, an interpreter is required and adds cost.
