We went through this bureaucracy ourselves. Now we walk you through it.
ExpatBusiness.de is run by founders who arrived in Germany as expats, registered their own companies here, and turned years of trial and error into a service — so your start is faster and calmer than ours was.
It started as a YouTube channel — Vanakkam Germany — answering the questions every newcomer asks: how do I register my address, get my tax number, open a bank account, start something of my own? The questions kept coming, and the answers kept getting longer.
ExpatBusiness.de is the next step: a focused service that coordinates business registration for international founders — in English, with one point of contact. We prepare the paperwork, schedule the appointments and chase the authorities. You make the decisions and sign.
The founders

An MBA graduate and CEO of Vanakkam UG, Priya has been living in Germany for more than a decade. She arrived on a Dependent visa and turned her first-hand experience navigating German bureaucracy into a mission — a YouTube channel for expats that grew into this platform. As a female entrepreneur and mother who has built her own company here, she brings both business acumen and genuine lived understanding of expat life to every consultation.

Balaji has called Germany home since 2009, arriving as a master's student and progressing through every phase of expat life — student, working professional, and family. He works in the automotive sector and consults on insurance, investment, and personal finance. A company founder himself, Balaji brings more than two decades of lived experience in Germany to every conversation, helping expats build stable, compliant lives here.
What we do
We coordinate your registration end to end — documents, notary, IHK, Finanzamt, bank — and explain every step in plain English. Where a question needs a licensed professional, we say so and connect you with a Steuerberater or lawyer.
What we are not
We are not a law firm or a tax advisory. Official decisions — your Steuernummer, the register entry, the notarisation — are made by independent German authorities. We handle the paperwork and the chasing; they handle the stamps.
